vessel interprets a void as “a space of resonance”─a liminal space that relies on physical matter to step over the threshold and become a quantifiable object. It uses a recording of sound vibrating within the cavity of ceramics that are cast from a Chalice and a Kalash. These mass produced ritual objects once cast were combined together to make a set of three ceramics. Audio recording from these three ceramic vessels translates through a unidirectional speaker that is audible only when it reflects off a surface.
